JN Sunday Underground Shopping Center is located beneath Jiang Nan Road in Zhujiang, Guangzhou and covers the length of six city blocks. Due to the extreme 620-metre length of the structure, the division of the space into distinct sections was the key to creating user-friendly, functional spaces. The sections were uniquely themed as Mountain, Willow, Gold, Bamboo, Wind and River, each with its own distinct layout and use of ceiling contours, lighting, floor patterns, surface textures, materials and colours to differentiate the spaces.
